DC Air to Air Multi Head Heat Pump

  • These DC, SOLAR powered Heat Pumps (HP’s) are essentially the same as the single indoor units but with the option of adding 2, 3 or 4 indoor units to spread the same amount of Heating/Cooling across a wider area.
  • It needs to be understood that the larger the heat pump capacity chosen, the larger the solar array area required, plus a larger battery backup.
  • Both of these systems come as a DIY kit, with instructions on how best to install them. It should be noted that they come as off-grid capable, but on grid is also available. A synchronous invert can tie back into the grid to export energy, first to your home/building, then to the grid. You will most likely still require the assistance on an electrician to wire it into the grid (if chosen). Solar or HP installers may also be considered.

  • The DC, SOLAR powered Heat Pumps (HP’s) are also A/C or cooling heat pumps and are primarily Air to Air heat pumps.
  • Because they provide heat or A/C whenever the sun is out, we say you get “Free Heat For Life”.
  • This amount of heat offsets whichever heating or A/C system you have presently, depending on your location and the amount of solar insolation at that location this offset can reach well beyond 50%.
  • For colder climates the heat pump can operate down past -20C (-4f), and for hot climates it is handy that the HP offers free A/C while the sun is out and the batteries can operate the HP for 6-8 hours or well into the night time.
  • Batteries and solar are sized to give you operation well beyond when the sun goes down.

Low Cost Affordable Heat Pump Options

  • Low Cost Heat Pump
  • This microverter option offers Low Cost/ Affordable Heat Pump (HP’s) kits for anyone who doesn’t need any batteries, or anyone who already has a solar PV system.
  • Microinverters convert the DC power to AC at the solar PV panel. This AC power connects to your home/shop/or business offsetting some internal power usage. Any excess offsets your grid load pushing power back to the grid and you will be paid a wholesale rate for exported power. When Solar is not sufficient, you can draw power directly from the grid,
  • Note: If you already have a solar & microinverters installed, this option will provide the customized kit as per your requirements less the solar PV equipment assuming your array is sufficient to power the heat pump you chose.
